Poland Won Brazil and Target Second Place
Poland swept Brazil to join USA and Slovenia at 8–2, keeping Nikola Grbić’s team in contention for second place.

Poland remained in contention for second place in the 2026 Volleyball Nations League standings after defeating Brazil 3–0 in Chicago.
Nikola Grbić’s team improved its preliminary-round record to eight victories and two defeats. The United States and Slovenia have the same record, while Japan have already secured first place.
Poland are expected to face USA in an important final preliminary-round match. That result could decide which team enters the VNL Finals as the second seed, although Slovenia remain part of the race.
Brazil entered the match needing a positive result to strengthen their own qualification hopes, but Poland controlled the contest and completed the victory in three sets.
Grbić’s players have little time to recover before facing France, with less than 24 hours between the two matches. The Polish coach confirmed that the team would reduce its preparation and focus on recovery before returning to the court.
The top seven teams will advance to the Finals alongside host nation China.
