Türkiye Wins Second VNL Title, Vargas Named MVP
Türkiye came from behind to beat Brazil 3-1 in the VNL final, winning their second title as Melissa Vargas was named tournament MVP.

Türkiye came from behind to beat Brazil 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-21) in the Women's Volleyball Nations League 2026 final in Macao on July 26, 2026, claiming their second VNL gold after their 2023 title. Opposite Melissa Vargas was named tournament MVP.
Brazil, led by Ana Cristina, controlled most of the first set and held on to win it 25-23 through substitute opposite Kisy Nascimento. Türkiye responded in a tight second set, with Hande Baladın delivering a crucial block before Vargas closed it out 25-23. The third set went to overtime, where Türkiye prevailed 26-24 on a Brazilian attacking error. Brazil fought back from a six-point deficit in the fourth set and briefly took the lead at 19-18, but Türkiye regained control behind Vargas and closed the match 25-21, finished off by a tip from setter Elif Şahin.
Vargas was Türkiye's standout performer throughout, including an 11-point third set. This marks Brazil's fifth VNL final defeat, while Türkiye add the gold to a trophy case that also includes one silver and one bronze. Italy earlier claimed bronze with a win over hosts China.
