The match was played in front of nearly 12,000 fans at Maracanãzinho. Darlan led Brazil with 23 points, while Vicentin topped Argentina's scoring with 11.
Brazil's Lucarelli was named tournament MVP, with teammates Darlan, Cachopa, Adriano, and Flávio also earning individual honors. Argentina's Loser and Massimino, along with Chile's Aravena, completed the tournament's Ideal Team.
Chile claimed bronze after sweeping Bolivia 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17), securing spots at the FIVB World Cup in Poland and the Lima 2027 Pan American Games. Ibarra led Chile with 16 points. Colombia finished fourth after beating Venezuela 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-19), with Amaranto scoring 24 points.
