Finland and Italy Advance to EuroVolley 2026 Quarterfinals

Finland battled back from two set deficits to beat Greece in five sets, while Italy cruised past Denmark, sending both teams into the EuroVolley 2026 men's quarterfinals.

Finland fell behind after Greece won the opener 25-22, before responding with a 25-16 win in the second set. Greece regained the lead by taking the third 25-22, putting Finland under pressure, but the Finns fought back with a 25-23 win in the fourth set and edged a tense decider 15-13, with Luka Marttila scoring the match-winning point. Luka and Nooa Marttila each finished with 21 points for Finland, while Joonas Jokela added 20. Greece's Angelos Markou led all scorers with 20 points.

Italy had a more comfortable night at the Palavela in front of 7,580 spectators, sweeping Denmark 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-11). Denmark pushed the hosts in the first set, closing to 23-22 before Italy secured the final two points and took control of the match. Italy recorded 15 blocks in the win, with Yuri Romanò leading all scorers with 14 points. Denmark's Mads Kyed Jensen also finished with 14 points.

Italy will face Finland in the quarterfinals.
