Japan Drawn With Australia in Asian Championship Group A
Host nation Japan is drawn into Group A with Australia, Bahrain, and Oman at the 2026 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship in Fukuoka.
The draw for the 2026 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, to be held in Fukuoka, Japan, took place on August 11 during a broadcast on Fuji TV. The tournament, featuring 12 Asian teams, will run from September 4 to 13 in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, with the winner earning a spot at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Host nation Japan, ranked sixth in the world, was drawn into Group A alongside Australia (49th), Bahrain (44th), and Oman (63rd). The preliminary round will be played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.
Group B consists of Iran (19th), China (36th), India (46th), and New Zealand (133rd). Group C includes Qatar (24th), South Korea (25th), Chinese Taipei (59th), and Thailand (61st).
