Retired Polish Star Korneluk Announces Pregnancy
Former Polish national team captain Agnieszka Kąkolewska-Korneluk announces her pregnancy on Instagram, months after retiring at 31.
Polish volleyball player Agnieszka Kąkolewska-Korneluk is expecting a child. She announced the news on Instagram on Thursday, August 13, sharing an ultrasound photo with her fans.
In her post, Korneluk wrote: "It's been a while since I last posted here. Lately I've had more rest than ever. I'm being strongly encouraged to take this double dose of rest for a little one who seems to notice that mom hasn't stopped working in recent years. Life is truly incredible, and even more so when another life is growing inside you."
Less than four months ago, Korneluk surprised the volleyball world by announcing her retirement at age 31. She had served as captain of the Polish national team and played for Turkish club Fenerbahçe.
