Slovenia's Women Secure Spot in 2027 Nations League
Slovenia's women's national volleyball team qualifies for the 2027 Nations League, despite a runner-up finish in this year's Europa League.

The FIVB has confirmed that Slovenia's women's national volleyball team has secured a place in next year's elite Nations League, despite falling short in this year's Europa League final against Sweden. The qualification is seen as confirmation of the program's progress in recent years and a step toward Slovenian women's volleyball competing among the world's best teams.
Head coach Alessandro Orefice expressed excitement about the achievement, calling it proof of the team's growth over the past two and a half years under his guidance. Team captain Saša Planinšec also spoke about the milestone, describing it as a major moment for Slovenian women's volleyball and a greater responsibility for the team going forward.
