Slovenia Sweep Serbia in Final VNL Match
Slovenia defeated Serbia 3–0 in Belgrade as the hosts completed their 2026 VNL campaign with a 5–7 record.
Serbia ended their 2026 Volleyball Nations League campaign with a 3–0 defeat to Slovenia at Belgrade Arena.
Slovenia completed a 25–19, 25–21, 25–22 victory after 75 minutes. Around 3,000 spectators attended Serbia’s final match of the preliminary phase.
Serbia made six more errors than their opponents in the opening set. The second remained close until 17–17, when Slovenia took control through Niko Mujanović, Rok Možič and Tine Urnaut.
Slovenia built an 18–12 lead in the third set. Serbia reduced the gap to two points at 21–19, but could not complete the comeback.
Mujanović led the winners with 17 points, while Možič added 14 and Urnaut scored 10. Veljko Mašulović was Serbia’s top scorer with 15 points. Pavle Perić contributed 11 and Lazar Marinović finished with seven.
Serbia completed the VNL preliminary phase with five victories, seven defeats and 16 points.
