Türkiye Rally Past Ukraine to Strengthen Finals Bid
Türkiye recovered from two sets down to defeat Ukraine 3–2 and move closer to securing a place in the VNL Finals.

Türkiye moved closer to the 2026 Volleyball Nations League Finals after completing a five-set comeback against Ukraine in Belgrade.
Ukraine won the opening two sets, but Türkiye recovered to claim a 3–2 victory with scores of 25–27, 20–25, 25–23, 25–16, 15–11.
The match lasted 131 minutes at Belgrade Arena. After surviving a close third set, Türkiye took control of the fourth before completing the comeback in the tie-break.
The result gave Türkiye their seventh victory of the preliminary phase. They reached 19 points and moved into fourth place in the VNL standings, strengthening their position in the race for the Finals.
Türkiye will next face Slovenia in their third match of the Belgrade week. The match is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, at 17:30 local time.
