Julia Kudiess Begins Recovery After Knee Surgery
Brazilian middle blocker Julia Kudiess has undergone left knee surgery and could face up to nine months of rehabilitation.

Brazilian middle blocker Julia Kudiess has started a long rehabilitation process after undergoing surgery on her left knee in Belo Horizonte.
Kudiess shared an update with supporters on Instagram following the operation. She confirmed that she had been discharged from hospital and would remain in Belo Horizonte for the first week of her recovery.
The 23-year-old is then expected to travel to Brasília, her hometown, where she will continue part of the rehabilitation programme. The recovery process could last up to nine months.
Kudiess suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during Brazil’s final match of the third week of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League in Osaka, Japan.
In her first message after the operation, she explained that the opening day had been painful but that this was expected. She also thanked supporters for the messages and encouragement she had received.
No exact date has been confirmed for her return to volleyball.
